The Accreditation Security Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization for the GATES program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides management support to the RMF package for USTRANSCOM.
  • Manages and maintains the RMF Assessment and Authorization for the GATES program.
  • Develops, updates, organizes, maintains, and tracks RMF documentation using information obtained from the customer.
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and presents products and ideas in a business-like manner.
  • Works in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
  • Provides Assessment and Authorization (A&A) support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans.
  • Interfaces with both client managers and system users.
  • Provides remote support and/or travel to customer site (Scott AFB) as required.

Qualifications:

  • Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
  • Must possess a DOD 8570 IAM I certification (including Security+ or equivalent.)
  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53rev4 and other NIST SPs that relate directly to the RMF process.
  • Experience with DoD IT networking and security requirements.
  • Experience in the A&A process and development of RMF certification packages.
  • Knowledge of in-network access control, intrusion prevention, and detection systems, firewalls, routers, incident response, information security methods, and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of supporting Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Basic familiarity with the A&A accreditation tool, eMASS.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
