The Configuration Management Lead works in the information technology industry, providing a deep knowledgebase on configuration management processes such as the design and development of data communication networks and analysis of network topologies and traffic.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leads the configuration management team in understanding project priorities, scheduling, and execution of configuration requirements.
- Employ proven methodologies for AOC Weapon System Configuration Management, in line with those employed within current Falconer AOC-WS 10.2 and future 10.X programs, to fulfill Configuration Management tasks specified within Air Force Instruction 13-1 AOC Volume 3 as approved and/or required by the COR.
- Develop, maintain, and publish a site configuration control plan to maintain configuration control of the 618 AOC (TACC) Weapon System as-built baseline.
- Work with the Weapon System Manager, AOC divisions, teams and other entities and agencies as required for the successful setup, sustainment, and operation of all systems integrated into the AOC Weapon System baseline.
- Properly document necessary changes to maintain a level of configuration control and security consistent with the requirements established in 618 AOC (TACC) WS Configuration Management plans, and all applicable Department of Defense and Air Force information assurance, certification and accreditation directives and instructions.
- Update the site configuration control plan to integrate USTRANSCOM J6 and AMC A6 program management office upgrades. The contractor, in coordination with the COR, shall submit all required paperwork to have certified commercial off the shelf and Government off the shelf software required for the AOC baseline approved through proper channels (i.e., AF evaluated products list or DISA approved product list) for use on the AFNET.
- Work with the Weapon System Manager, AOC directorates, ACOMS plans and programs, and other entities and agencies as required for the successful setup, sustainment, and operation of all systems integrated into the AOC Weapon System baseline.
- Properly document necessary changes to maintain a level of configuration control and security consistent with the requirements established in 618 AOC WS Configuration Management plans, and all applicable Department of Defense and Air Force information assurance, certification and accreditation directives and instructions.
- Support evolving configuration activities by planning and coordinating with DAWS program office, developing improvements to increase efficiency; determining requirements of various systems for implementation; training staff and management regarding configuration policies; and developing tools to baseline system standards.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree / Minimum 5 years experience
- Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
- Must possess a DOD 8570 IAM I certification (including Security+ or equivalent.)
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53rev4 and other NIST SPs that relate directly to the RMF process.
- Experience with DoD IT networking and security requirements.
- Experience in the A&A process and development of RMF certification packages.
- Knowledge of in network access control, intrusion prevention, and detection systems, firewalls, routers, incident response, information security methods, and risk management.
- Working knowledge of supporting Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Basic familiarity with the A&A accreditation tool, eMASS.
- Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
