Help Desk II position is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, in support of business processing requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Linux systems administration, security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring maximum availability.
- Scheduling and performing regular systems maintenance.
- Installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches and resolving software and hardware related problems.
- Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise in production and during solution development.
- Developing solutions using tools for additional capabilities.
- Working with other team members to ensure server uptime is maintained.
- Providing guidelines as well as recommendations and resolutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
