The Knowledge Management Specialist / Dep Program Manager will manage the A3C/C2 Operations SharePoint Site using KM processes to capture, store, organize, verify and distribute the organization's information so as to improve the organization's efficiency and decision-making ability.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Proficient in KM process implementation, maintain currency on new KM capabilities and continually seek to improve the organization's KM.
- Assist A3C personnel with the resolution of issues related to storage, access, user permissions, and layout of the organization's information on the A3C/C2 Operations SharePoint Site and its sub-sites.
- Obtain and maintain the necessary DOD/USAF certifications to serve in the capacity of a Client Support Administrator (or equivalent), providing touch maintenance to end-user laptop computers that require elevated access permissions/credentials to resolve application/software problems.
- Assist the PM provide overall program support to include the administration of Phase-in/Phase-out, Post Award Conference, all functional tasks, Data Deliverables, and Supplemental Requirements listed in the PWS. Ensure continuity of TO performance until TO completion. Ensure their staff is adequately trained and current on required skills, certifications, and qualifications throughout performance of the TO. Provide program support and effectively participate in planning and strategy sessions, effectively interact with customers, resolve complaints and problems, and keep management properly informed as to operational issues, problems, future needs, and developments.
- Perform Strategic Guidance Document review and coordination to support AMC/MAF C2 and AFFOR Staff functions, and ensure these programs remain active and responsive to the needs of the AMC Commander. Incorporate all required regulations, such as, strategic C2 instructions, guidance, and operational concepts, as well as doctrines developed/published by other MAJCOMs, USAF, COCOMs, JCS, DoD, and other Governmental agencies. Perform monthly document review and coordination of AMC/A3C-owned instructions, guidance, regulations, operational concepts, and doctrine in accordance with Air Force Instruction 33-360, and shall ensure alignment with related lateral and higher echelon guidance and policy, as appropriate. Monitor and coordinate with other MAJCOMs, USAF, COCOMs, JCS, DoD, other Governmental agencies, and industry partners on project/program developments, status updates, and milestones associated with implementation timelines for key C2 modernization initiatives (such as mission planning and mission management systems, Aircraft Mission Design Series (MDS), AOCs, and enroute C2 nodes/agencies).
- Ensure Strategic Guidance Documents and associated process and procedure revisions remain relevant, consistent, and synchronized with related lateral and higher echelon efforts, as appropriate. These efforts are critical to support timely capability and requirement integration with MAJCOM, USAF, COCM, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and DoD plans and objectives.
- Facilitate coordination through staffing packages to seek Staff input/coordination, and assist in adjudication and revision processes, as applicable
- Participate in working groups/teams, and provide Meeting Support Materials, and AMC/A3 Position Recommendation Documents, as required in support of the AMC Corporate Process.
Qualifications:
- Fifteen plus (15+) years of experience.
- Top Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
- KM Certified
- Global Mobility Air Operations (GMAOC), MAF AFFOR staff Course, AMC Staff Orientation and IAT II Courses required
- Must be able to travel to the Scott AFB area to work on base as needed.
