C5T is currently seeking a full-time Research Analyst to play a crucial role on a small team supporting our current research efforts at USTRANSCOM. The individual selected will support one or more of our four current research contracts, and potential future efforts. Duties and Responsibilities. The duties and responsibilities of the Research Analyst include: 

• Review relevant literature within (but not limited to) academia, corporate practices, and the Department of Defense to capture relevant supporting information for research efforts within the statement of work
• Assists with design of data collection methodologies and materials to collect quantitative and qualitative data, including but not limited to customer feedback
• Documents research procedures and results
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of techniques and software
• Prepare tables, graphs, models, and written reports summarizing research results
• Safeguards the confidentiality of information in accordance with project requirements
• Attends, participates in, and documents meetings, conferences, and training sessions 
• Assist with preparation of customer final deliverables including but not limited to: reports, manuals, and presentations
• Assists with planning, scheduling, and documenting project and team meetings
• Applies research quality control procedures to ensure validity of results
• Assists with completing a variety of documents for the program manager and funding agency, including progress reports and presentations
• Actively maintain awareness of leading research practices

Education requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in organizational development, psychology, analytics, or other relevant area 
• Research experience at an undergraduate or graduate level

Knowledge/Skills required:  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• US Citizen  (must be able to acquire security clearance)
• Knowledge of/experience with research methods/techniques 
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Word, familiarity with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel 
• Ability to grasp and apply new concepts effectively

• Familiarity with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel

Desired or preferred skills/experience: 

• Academic and/or work experience related to organizational development, psychology, analytics, logistics, critical infrastructure, or related field 
• Current Secret or higher security clearance 
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis software tools
• Knowledge management certification and/or experience 
• Microsoft SharePoint experience
• Business process improvement or project management certification and/or experience 
• Microsoft Visio experience
